Srinagar, Nov 01 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday assigned the charge of Chief Secretary to Shailendra Kumar, IAS, until Dr Sajjan Singh Yadav joins the Union Territory.
According to a government order, a copy of which was accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Kumar, who is presently serving as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department and also holds the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, shall look after the post of Chief Secretary till Yadav joins Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, the Centre had appointed Dr Sajjan Singh Yadav, also a 1995-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, as the new Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir on October 24. He was transferred from Delhi, where he was serving as Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Jal Board.—(KNO)
